Updated Yu-Can stove question

On a UK forum somebody has mentioned a newer book by Monty Alford [ which I googled and just ordered] which has an updated and improved version of the little snow melting candle stove.
Does anybody have a copy of Wilderness Survival Guide and could care to comment?
I'm part way though making another but using a little TomShoo titanium cup, and making a big cat food can candle to suit
